Overview
Upside is an ecosystem on Base for sports enthusiasts to play fantasy sports with player tokens. Sports enthusiasts can make Props Picks, earn player tokens and more. Sports enthusiasts can finally play fantasy with crypto. When users make correct Picks, they receive that player's token as the reward. Users making a Props Pick on Patrick Mahomes, for example, will receive more Mahomes tokens for correctly selecting the outcome. Tokens are allocated to a user's wallet after the game is completed and the outcome is finalized. The number of tokens won may vary depending on varying factors and will be confirmed upon users selecting Picks.
Upside Wallet
Upside is built as a non-custodial wallet, allowing users to maintain full control of their player tokens. Users hold their tokens directly earning tokens as their Team, with no reliance on third parties. Upside’s non-custodial approach empowers users to manage their tokens freely and provides a secure, seamless experience.
Token Burn
Player Tokens are burned from total supply based on player performance. A max total of 20% (200 million) of tokens can be burned. Based on fantasy points that a player generates, there then is a multiplier applied to determine the number of tokens burned. The multiplier is 100,000.
Player’s Fantasy Points * 100,000 = Token Burn
Example: Josh Allen gets 30 fantasy points in a game. The multiplier is 100,000 and so the total tokens burned in that game would be 3,000,000 tokens. Token burn is visible to track in app under each player token. The maximum number of burned tokens for any given player is 200 million. Player Tokens start out on a bonding curve until they reach a $200,000 market cap and they are then added to Uniswap.
